Rush Flag Football is proudly family-founded and operated by Nicole Farrell and her 16-year-old daughter, Jadey — a mother-daughter team united by their passion for the game and their commitment to growing opportunities for young female athletes.

Nicole, the current High School Division Girls Flag Football Coach, has been a driving force in expanding girls flag football throughout the Kennett Square, West Chester, and Garnet Valley communities. Through her leadership, vision, and tireless volunteer efforts, she has helped elevate the sport at the local level and create new pathways for female athletes to compete and thrive.

But Rush was never just a program — it was a shared dream.

Jadey’s love for flag football has been the heartbeat behind Rush from the very beginning. As co-founder, she has brought a player’s perspective, creative vision, and relentless enthusiasm to the organization. From helping design the identity and look of Rush to shaping the experience for players, Jadey has played an essential role in building a program that truly reflects what young athletes want and need.

As a mother of three sons as well, Nicole recognized the growing demand for quality flag football opportunities for boys in the community. What began as a mission to elevate girls flag football has expanded into recreational and competitive leagues for boys, allowing even more young athletes to learn, compete, and grow through the game.

Together, Nicole and Jadey founded Rush Flag Football with a clear mission: to empower the next generation of athletes to develop their skills, build confidence, and compete in a supportive, high-energy environment where they feel seen, valued, and inspired.

Rush isn’t just built on leadership — it’s built on family.

WHY RUSH FLAG FOOTBALL?

Rush Flag Football: Empowering Young Female Athletes

Rush Flag Football was established to provide girls in our community with the opportunity to participate in and compete in flag football, one of the fastest-growing sports in the nation. With the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) officially sanctioning girls' flag football as a high school sport starting in the 2025-2026 school year, Rush aims to create a safe and supportive environment for young female athletes to learn and develop their skills in this exciting sport.

We offer both recreational and competitive leagues for girls K-12th, ensuring that players of all skill levels can enjoy and thrive in flag football. At Rush, we are committed to fostering the growth of girls' flag football and reinvesting all resources back into our program to facilitate this development.
